Mediacom and the commercial trade representation

For more than ten years, Mediacom has been carrying out a commercial trade representation activity in the former USSR for
numerous clients both Italians and foreigners. Such activity marks itself out by the strong characterization of projects and by
the widespread presence that Mediacom can guaranty on the territory.
Mediacom represents its own clients in the former USSR market, performing client searches, sales and secretarial activity
management, market monitoring, locating and opening offi ces of representation, commercial structures and sales points, distributor organization and search, agents, joint ventures and business partners.
Mediacom also suggests commercial strategies, locates a wide range of importers to guaranty many operating opportunities.
It is able to construct a network of dealers and sub-dealers compatible with the different clients’ areas, manages the sales’ price
policy, and takes care of all the aspects regarding sales and distribution: transportation, customs clearance, distribution,
payments management, technical assistance, coordinates the marketing and communication campaign as well as the
promotional activities.

Fashion
Mediacom is involved in the creation of a distributive network for numerous Italian brands. These brands are presented to Russian buyers in occasion of special events
organized in Mediacom’s showroom.
At this point, a fundamental aspect is the ability to understand and interpret the desires and requirements of the Russian customer.
Mediacom manages directly the fl ow of orders, the export stage of the merchandise and the logistics and storage operations. The group is in charge of communication and
marketing activities, advertising campaigns, participation in fairs and organization of parades. Also, it is involved in commercial activities such as store opening as franchises,
particularly, at the moment it is involved in the creation of a network of franchised stores in Russia for the brand Yamamay (refer to Trading section)

Ceramic and construction materials

Ceramics and construction materials are, together with car equipments, the fi rst business managed by Mediacom in Russia.
In the building industry, Mediacom mainly operates in the following sectors: ceramic tiles, laying equipments, sanitary, bathroom furniture, taps and fi ttings, bathtubs and
shower boxes, building adhesives, wood for swimming pool, sealing membrane, varnishes for outdoor coatings, fi replace, and barbecue. The company works in this sector
through the fi rm PROGETTO fi rm which acts both as a representation and trading company.
Progetto with Cooperativa Ceramica di Imola has created a business that is specialized in the management and promotion of the following company products: Imola
Marketing & Service. IMS manages, through an autonomous sales network, the product distribution of this important Italian ceramic group. Particularly, the company is in
charge of: ceramic tiles for fl oor and coatings, technical porcelain for ventilated walls and fl oating fl oors.

Agriculture
Mediacom, with Investa Agro, have set themselves an objective to construct a
network of dealers whom have specifi c service characteristics, fi nancial stability
and distributive pervasiveness and can thus offer with success, in their own area
of competence, the companies represented by Investa Agro.

Ironmongery Sector
This sector is divided in two different types of activities. The fi rst one is involved in
the semi-professional ironmongery and the second one is responsible for large
distributions. The ironmongery sector has lived an important development thanks to
the appearance of a large network of organized distribution in Russia. Many of the
main worldwide operators of the GDO are present in Russia with massive investment
programs and large private ironmongery chains. From the main operators, we can
indicate: OBI, METRO, AUCHAN, LE ROY MERLIN.
Mediacom works with all the major large distribution chains both international and
Russian, offering a wide range of European and Chinese products.

Cleaning
The commercial representation activity in this sector is managed by Mediacom through the controlled company Intercom. Created to be in charged of the development in the
Russian market of the INTERPUMP GROUP products, Intercom, while being part of the group Mediacom, through an autonomous management and sole salesmen, completely
guaranties an activity concentrated to the development of this sector. Interpump Group is an industrial group of fi rst importance that, thanks to different acquisitions, today
is one of the worldwide leader for high pressure pump production and professional cleaning equipment.

Automotive Sector
The automotive equipment sector is the one with which Mediacom started its activity in Russia. In the early 90’s, following the economic liberalization, there has been a massive
import of foreign cars. The high number of imported cars, in constant growth, makes this sector one of the most interesting in the Russian market.
Mediacom operates with great success both in the garage equipment and body shop sectors. It represents worldwide leader companies in this specifi c production sector.

Krasnodar Region

The Italian Representation of the Krasnodar Region has been created for the will of Mediacom and Tkachev, the young governor of the region, who has manifested the
intention of developing large industrial projects by opening the door to other Italian entrepreneurs.
Signal of a strong and precise will of increasing and developing the Italian business toward this rich region of the Russian Federation, the Italian Representation gives the
possibility to entrepreneurs to discover in depth and directly the opportunities available in Krasnodar and also offers a vast series of services and advantages.
