As a normal business evolution, Mediacom,
together with some other Italian fi rms, has
established productive establishments in
the Russian territory. In the past years, it
has started the production of adhesive for
the building industry, hot air generators
and compressors.
The reasons that have inspired the management
of the realization of these productive
installations are: the broadness of the Russian
market, the high transportation costs
from Italy, the customs barriers still present,
the long time of delivery due to the transportation
and customs formality. |

Mediacom, Fiac Italia and a Russian partner have realized an agreement for the production in Russia of compressors of mostly medium
large dimension. The agreement foresees that the supply of the heads comes from the Italian factory while the tank production,
the additional parts, the assembling and the distribution are expected to happen in Russia. Thanks to this production, today Fiac is the
leading fi rm for compressors in the Russian market.

Adhesive Production for the building industry

For more than a year, Mediacom started the construction, in the Stavropol area, of a factory for the production of adhesives that will
see its opening toward the end of 2005. The Stavropol region is situated in the central part of the Precaucaso, a rich area of raw material
deposit, such product covers the local needs and gets exported in the bordering regions. The production of adhesives is situated
in this strategic area for the market of materials used in the building industry. The factory can be proud of its leading edge technology
with engineering plant planned in Italy, and a production of the highest level with a production capacity of about 100 tons per day.
The product quality is guarantied by a contract that allows the usage of formulae of one of the main Italian fi rm of the sector: the fi rm
